Liz Poprocki, MA, RAAS, CA
Liz Poprocki is the Executive Director of Ohio Victim Witness Association, a Registered Advocate with Advanced Standing through the Ohio Advocate Network, a Comprehensive Credentialed Advocate through the National Advocate Credentialing Program, a member of the Ohio Crisis Response Team and is NOVA certified in crisis response. A native of West Virginia, she attended Concord University and Marshall University to obtain her bachelors in Psychology and masters in Mental Health Counseling respectively. She has been active in the advocacy field for over 15 years with opportunities ranging from crime victim advocate, court liaison for rape survivors, community educator, outpatient and inpatient therapist, and advocate with Disability Rights Ohio. Her specialty is working with crime victims with disabilities and educating crime victim advocates on how to serve marginalized populations. Liz has developed several statewide resources and presentations focusing on trauma-informed and accessible advocacy. As a survivor and passionate social justice advocate, she continues to demand respect and dignity for all affected by crime.
Janet Doolan, BA, BS, RASS, CA
Janet Doolan is the Programs Coordinator for Ohio Victim Witness Association, a Registered Advocate with Senior Standing through the Ohio Advocate Network and an Advanced, Comprehensive Credentialed Advocate through the National Advocate Credentialing Program. She attained a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in the fields of Psychology, Criminology, and Women’s Studies from The Ohio State University. As the Programs Coordinator for OVWA, she is able to work with advocates throughout the state to improve victim’s rights and services throughout Ohio which has been her passion and goal for greater than the 15 years that she has been working in the advocacy field. Janet was able to begin her official foray into advocacy working at CHOICES with victims of interpersonal violence where she learned from many survivors and has had roles as an advocate within mental health and substance abuse treatment and the legal, shelter, and community systems. Janet is the OVWA representative for the Ohio Crisis Response Team and is certified in the NOVA and CISM models of crisis management and psychological first aid.
